The feminist art exhibition "Cyprine Benzin" faced a destructive attack by vandals who smashed more than 30 exhibits and defaced walls with offensive graffiti. Hosted by artist Kamille Léveque Jégo at NegPos in Nîmes, the exhibition celebrated women's pride and empowerment. It is really upsetting to see how the masculinist backlash can have such an influence in our society. We have seen verbal protests against feminist exhibitions before... But never anything like this.
They cannot stand to see representations of women showing strength. The immature and silly drawings of phalluses are not an excuse for such vandalism.
