Barnaby Sandow, principal at Nord Anglia International School Dublin, emphasizes the importance of nurturing children to become the best versions of themselves. He highlights that the school mainly serves US students while also supporting the local Irish community. Reflecting on his childhood experiences at a sailing club in Anglesey, Sandow shares how he learned to teach young children sailing gradually, advocating that a similar approach in education helps build confidence and skills in students.
Growing up, I spent my summer holidays at Anglesey in north Wales. When I was a teen, my dad started classes at our sailing club, and I began helping out, teaching kids who had no clue how to sail.
Our biggest constituency is US students. As a support system for local economic drivers, we guide students, primarily Irish, to grow into their best selves.
