These popular baby names are too 'ugly, old-fashioned, weird,' grandparents say - the ones they hate the most, revealed
Briefly

A Mumsnet survey found that 1 in 5 grandparents dislike their grandchild's name, citing reasons such as unattractiveness, weirdness, and outdatedness. 2,000 participants revealed that many grandparents experience tension over naming choices, with some feeling annoyed about family name traditions not being followed. Despite a noticeable number of grandparents expressing discontent with names like Aurora and Jack, a majority felt comfortable sharing opinions on the matter. Interestingly, while many grandparents come to accept 'weird' names over time, 15% of parents reported ongoing disapproval from grandparents, leading to strained relationships.
Oh, baby, that's a weird name.
The top names hated by grandparents, according to the survey, include Aurora, Charlotte, Elijah, Finn, Jack, Lindsay, Noah, Sally and Tabitha.
Of the 2,000 grandparents and parents questioned, 15% admitted that at least one grandparent dislikes the baby's name.
However, 69% of grandparents said that it's alright for them to give their opinions on their grandchild's name.
