Natalie Suleman, known as 'Octomom,' returns to public life with her octuplets, now approaching 16. Suleman reveals that the decision to share their story was made by her children, who are eager to express their experiences. A Lifetime movie and docuseries titled 'I Was Octomom' delves into Suleman's journey, notably her IVF decision that led to the birth of octuplets. Her daughter, Nariyah, voices the desire for people to understand their mother's sacrifices, while Suleman hopes her story inspires other women facing struggles. She emphasizes her identity as a mother above all.
I've been saying, I want to keep them safe and protect my kids, and well, they're older now. They're turning 16 and making the decision to really do this.
I feel like it was very unfair how she was terrorized and hated for just being a mother. And she had to sacrifice so much just for her children.
The movie follows my journey, starting with my decision to have one more IVF procedure to try to complete my family of six.
I am not Octomom, I’m a mom.
