We knew we didn't want to be a busy family where our kids were in a million activities, and we were gone every single weekend... But we quickly fell into the other end of the spectrum, where we were doing absolutely nothing. And this year we're changing that.
We just wanted to get something on the calendar. The goal is just to get out of the house for a couple of hours and do something fun and new and exciting. It doesn't have to be expensive, just something different.
First month is a family day. We go somewhere all together. Second month is one parent taking both kids while the other gets a break. Third month is us each taking a kid because we want to get to know them independently... And the four prioritizes adult time with the kids staying home.
