In an interview with British Vogue, the Kylie Cosmetics founder spoke about being a young mother and how she struggled with postpartum depression for about a year after giving birth to each of her children. "It hit me differently both times," Jenner, 27, told British Vogue, adding that she had "major baby blues" when she had her son, which made her emotional about things that she typically wouldn't be emotional about.
Jenner shared that she wasn't able to decide on a suitable name for her son for the longest time. "On the phone with my mom all day hysterically crying, saying, 'I can't figure out his name,'" she said. "When I met him, he was just the most beautiful thing to me and I couldn't believe just how perfect he was. I felt like such a failure that I couldn't name him.
Now, her advice for all her expecting friends is to choose the baby's name before, 'because when the hormones hit you can't make decisions,' she added. In a survey of 4,000 parents and parents-to-be, BabyCenter found that the most popular time to decide on a baby's name is during the second trimester.
Thanks to social media and celebrities, it's becoming increasingly common for parents to give their children unique names. However, some countries like Germany have strict naming laws that forbid names which are not clearly identifiable as first names.
