Returning from maternity leave made me reassess my career priorities, leading to a focus on purpose and impactful work that fits my new life. While my job offered great benefits, the lack of a local family support system highlighted the limits of corporate parental supports, which assume a safety net of help for working parents. Through sharing experiences with other mothers, I learned the importance of patience with myself during this transition and the need for flexibility in decision-making.
