Google Ads currently has a bug that prevents editing asset groups within Performance Max campaigns through the web user interface. Advertisers attempting to edit and save existing asset groups encounter an error and cannot complete changes. Google has been contacted and acknowledges the issue while investigating a fix. In the meantime, advertisers can edit asset groups using Google Ads Editor or the Google Ads API as functional workarounds. Multiple advertisers have reported the same problem and confirmed the Ads Editor upload method as an effective temporary solution.
