The Columbia Climate School is launching a dual degree program in September 2025, offering students a Master of Science in Climate and a Master of Science in Carbon Management. This initiative aims to prepare students to address climate change challenges and develop low-carbon strategies. The program emphasizes carbon management technologies that support sustainable energy transitions. Students will complete the dual degree in 63 credits, a faster route than pursuing the degrees separately, reinforcing Columbia's commitment to education and research in climate solutions.
Since its inception, the Climate School has been a tremendous collaborative partner to Columbia Engineering, bolstering Columbia's position as a leader in unique programs for research and education.
The management and abatement of CO2 emissions and access to secure and plentiful energy remain two of the biggest challenges facing our world.
