In 2021, Jan earned the Guinness World Record title as the 'Oldest sloth in human care', surpassing the previous record held by another sloth named Paula.
Despite his advanced age, Jan fathered his last baby sloth, a girl, in March of this year, illustrating that he remained active and thriving until the end.
