Why you should stop using your solar-powered power bank
Briefly

Despite the allure of solar-powered power banks, my testing showed they are largely ineffective, often overheating and failing to charge adequately, making them dangerous and unreliable.
Leaving a power bank in the sun can cause it to reach temperatures as high as 80°C/176°F, which can damage lithium-ion batteries and prevent them from charging.
I have tested numerous solar-powered power banks and not found a single one that can charge effectively, with most unable to surpass a half charge after days in the sun.
Instead of relying on ineffective solar-powered power banks, consider alternatives like the Jackery Explorer Plus 100 or traditional charging from a vehicle.
