Typhoon Yagi: dozens dead in Vietnam in region's most powerful storm this year
Briefly

Typhoon Yagi has resulted in significant destruction across northern Vietnam, claiming at least 24 lives and injuring hundreds, with warnings of more floods expected.
In northeastern Vietnam, the impact of Typhoon Yagi has been devastating, particularly in Quang Ninh and Haiphong, where power and telecom disruptions have been widespread.
The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued serious warnings about ongoing flood and landslide risks, especially in northern provinces like Lang Son and Cao Bang.
Tragically, among the victims are a family of four whose home was buried by a landslide caused by the heavy rains after Typhoon Yagi made landfall.
