Rescue divers recovered two bodies from the wreck of the Bayesian superyacht, which capsized due to a severe storm. The identities remain unknown, and hopes persist for four survivors.
Nick Sloane indicated that survivors might be trapped in air pockets, a speculation backed by the nature of the wreck's orientation. He stated, 'Our job is to help people and hope to find them alive, but clearly the conditions are prohibitive.'
Marco Tilotta, the mission leader, expressed the difficulties faced during the rescue operations, pointing out, 'In our entire careers as divers... events that are clearly difficult to prevent and therefore truly unlikely and difficult to manage.'
Emergency conditions are particularly harsh while attempting this recovery. Tilotta remarked, 'I don't dare think of what the people who were there on board experienced,' showcasing the emotional toll on rescue teams.
