The Polaris Dawn Mission Opens a New Chapter in Private Space Flight
Briefly

The Polaris Dawn mission, set to launch on Aug. 26, aims to break records and advance space exploration by reaching an altitude of 870 miles.
This mission will not only set a new altitude record for a non-lunar mission but will also see the first commercial astronauts performing spacewalks.
Jared Isaacman, the financier of the Polaris Dawn mission, continues his philanthropic efforts, raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital while advancing space exploration.
The crew will also conduct over 40 scientific experiments, focusing on issues such as space motion sickness that affect many astronauts on their first days in space.
