Sports brought hope and love to these Paralympians who had childhood polio
Briefly

Kayode and Christiana Alabi, both polio survivors from Nigeria, met during national table tennis trials and are competing in their first Paralympics while advocating for awareness.
Reflecting on their journey, Kayode expresses, 'It's not easy to be physically challenged in this country; you do many things by yourself.' This emphasizes the challenges disabled individuals face.
Christiana reminisces about her childhood, stating, 'There was no table tennis table in my village... From when I was 7, we used little wooden benches on the street.' This showcases her resilience.
Although they didn't medal, Kayode believes, 'I believe that for both of us to be the No.1 in our country, and the No.1 in Africa, we can be the No.1 in the world,' highlighting their ambition.
