It's hard to say what sparked my love for all things feathered-maybe it was my 'dino kid' phase. My late Nana encouraged this love due to her own fondness for birds, rooted in her childhood 'Tweety' the parakeet.
I worked with exotic and domestic birds, from rescued African Greys to Bourbon Red Turkeys. Exotic bird sanctuary volunteering revealed varying treatments, while domestics lacked individual care.
