The Vuelta a España has once again showcased its penchant for unconventional starts, with Stage 6 kicking off inside a Carrefour hypermarket in Jerez de la Frontera.
The atmosphere was electric as MARCA's cycling reporter exclaimed, 'They haven't come here to buy eggs, they haven't come here to buy bread, they've come here to fight for a victory!'
This unique stage start, in celebration of Carrefour's 12th anniversary as a sponsor, transformed a retail space into a vibrant race hub, drawing numerous fans.
As barriers kept cyclists contained, the setting created a surreal visual of athletes navigating aisles and shopping carts, bridging the world of retail and competitive sports.
