SpaceX's crew capsule successfully docked at the International Space Station (ISS) over a day after launch, bringing in replacements for two astronauts whose mission was extended due to Boeing Starliner's issues. The four new arrivals, from the U.S., Japan, and Russia, will be getting acclimated under the guidance of astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams. Wilmore and Williams are set to return in an older SpaceX capsule, after delays arose from their original one needing battery repairs, amid a significant presence representing three nations on the ISS.
"It was a wonderful day. Great to see our friends arrive," Williams told Mission Control.
"The Boeing Starliner capsule encountered so many problems that NASA insisted it come back empty, leaving its test pilots behind to wait for a SpaceX lift."
