A man who rushed into the water to rescue five individuals at Inch Beach, Co Kerry died later at Cork University Hospital after being pulled out in serious condition.
The Irish Coastguard mobilized various rescue units, including the RNLI and a rescue helicopter, to assist in the serious incident involving multiple people being rescued from the sea.
