Londoners asked to count the number of city's pollinating insects

A 2023 report found that honeybees account for a staggering 57 per cent of all pollinating insects in the City of London, highlighting growing concerns over inadequate food sources supporting beehives.
Dr Konstantinos Tsiolis emphasized the importance of a diversity of bee species and other pollinators, as wild bees are in decline due to habitat loss, climate change, pesticides, and loss of flower meadows.
