Intuitive Machines is taking its shot at nailing the first commercial moon landing
Briefly

Houston-based space company Intuitive Machines is preparing to land its spacecraft Odysseus on the lunar surface, with hopes of achieving the first ever commercial moon landing.
"Intuitive Machines' IM-1 mission could be the first ever commercial moon landing if it makes it there intact."
Intuitive Machines plans to launch Odysseus on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket between February 14 and 16, with a target landing date of February 22.
"This arrival date is dependent on Odysseus leaving Earth atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket."
The success of the mission would provide valuable knowledge for future lunar excursions and NASA's crewed Artemis missions, as the lunar south pole is of high interest due to the presence of water ice.
"Its mission, if it nails a soft landing, will be a short but potentially valuable one for informing future excursions to the region."
