Hurricane Ernesto: Post-tropical storm to track across Ireland this week

"Ernesto is expected to transition into a mid-latitude storm as it approaches north-eastern Canada early this week. Its remnants may track eastwards into the open Atlantic, with potential impacts on Ireland's weather by mid-week."

"The aftermath of the hurricane will also hit parts of the UK hard, bringing heavy rain and up to 100kph winds. Met Eireann warns that thunderstorms and potentially severe flooding could occur in the coming days."
