Part of the mission of the Columbia Climate School is to prepare the workforce of tomorrow to tackle the complex issues presented by the changing climate and other aspects of sustainability. A strong faculty will help us achieve this, said Dean Jeffrey Shaman.
Suzana Camargo, a new Professor of Climate at the Columbia Climate School, is an expert in tropical cyclones and their relationship with climate, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Michael Puma, another new Professor of Climate, focuses on global food security and human migration, providing insights for policymakers. Lisa Sachs, an Associate Professor of Professional Practice, directs the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment.
