Aurora supercomputer, Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, Illinois transform scientific discoveries
Briefly

Aurora is massive. Think of it as 10,000 computers that are all talking to each other very, very quickly. It can perform over a quintillion calculations per second.
The Advanced Photon Source is a giant X-ray microscope, a billion times brighter than what you have in a medical setting. It allows for incredibly advanced imaging techniques.
We've had very successful projects already that have run between the advanced photon source in Aurora, where experiments are going on. Researchers have been coming in from a wide range of fields.
Together, Aurora and the Advanced Photon Source are set to revolutionize research across various fields, including materials science, medicine, climate modeling, and energy.
