The typhoon, dubbed Yagi, struck Vietnam as Asia's most powerful storm of the year, causing widespread destruction, particularly in the northern mountainous regions.
Among the casualties were a newborn baby and a one-year-old boy, tragically killed by a landslide in the Hoang Lien Son mountains following the storm.
The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting highlighted the severe environmental damage and loss of life caused by landslides and floods triggered by Typhoon Yagi.
With over 120,000 hectares of crops affected and nearly 3,300 homes damaged, the long-term impact of Typhoon Yagi on Vietnam's agriculture and infrastructure remains a pressing concern.
