Another point for life on Mars: Signs of liquid water discovered under the planet's surface

Scientists discovered evidence of a reservoir of liquid water seven to 13 miles below the Martian surface, potentially capable of covering the entire planet with an ocean about one mile deep.

Any sizeable source of liquid water, like potential underground reservoirs on Mars, becomes a place to check for active microbial life, despite the water being deep underground and not accessible in the near future.
