During a recent climate summit in New York, prominent figures like Al Gore and John Kerry criticized major greenhouse gas emitters for not honoring their commitments from a UN pact signed in Dubai.
John Kerry stated, 'We made an agreement in Dubai to transition away from fossil fuels... The problem? We aren't doing that. We're not implementing. The implications for everybody, and life on this planet, is gigantic.'
Kerry admitted the US must do more regarding fossil fuel commitments and emphasized the need to pause booming liquified natural gas export permits, stating, 'The demand is what is crushing us right now.'
