Colorado Parks and Wildlife captured the Copper Creek Pack, consisting of a male, female, and four pups, due to their involvement in livestock deaths.
The adult male wolf was found in poor condition with serious leg injuries. Despite treatment, he died shortly after capture due to complications from his injuries.
CPW's approach to relocate entire packs rather than just conflict wolves is unusual and presents numerous challenges and ethical considerations.
