Sylvia Mathews Burwell and Michael S. Chae have been appointed to the Harvard Corporation. Burwell, a former president of American University and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, is recognized for her integrity and data-informed decision-making. Chae, vice chairman and CFO of Blackstone, is noted for his expertise in financial management and support for university initiatives. Both will start their terms on July 1, filling vacancies left by previous members.
