As the Yankees head to Detroit for a series, the Tigers proactively changed game times for better fan experience amid weather forecasts predicting nighttime wind chills in the 20s. Instead of originally scheduled evening games, the Tigers will host afternoon starts; 3:10 p.m. on Monday and 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. The team assures fans unable to attend due to the change can exchange their tickets for later games, while broadcasts remain unchanged, airing on YES Network and Amazon Prime for respective games.
Fortunately for fans looking to be in attendance, the Tigers decided to be proactive, as they announced today new afternoon start times for the series with the Yankees this week.
Due to forecasted evening wind chills in the 20s and other weather considerations, scheduled first pitch times for Tigers vs. Yankees games at Comerica Park have been adjusted from 6:40 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.
For any of our Michigan readers who were planning on heading to the game, but are now unable to, the Tigers have indicated that fans will be able to exchange their tickets for a later game.
