Sasaki has had right arm trouble and an oblique injury, so he's been limited to 33 starts in total in 202 innings since the beginning of 2023.
Although the walks went up to a 2.6 BB/9 in 2024, this is a mere quibble. MLB teams are understandably salivating at this guy.
The Chiba Lotte Marines announced that they will post Roki Sasaki, who immediately becomes one of the top free agents available to @MLB clubs this winter.
Sasaki's posting will be much more similar to when Shohei Ohtani first joined the majors than when Yoshinobu Yamamoto was posted last offseason.
