Giancarlo Stanton is making progress in his recovery from tennis elbow, recently participating in on-field batting practice for the first time. Despite being sidelined since spring, Stanton mentioned that his elbows are improving. He has been training indoors but expressed the importance of being around his teammates and adapting to a regular season schedule. The Yankees anticipate that he will soon advance to facing live pitching, marking a significant step towards his rehabilitation and potential return to play.
"They're getting better," Stanton said of his elbows after taking a few rounds of batting practice.
"I'm moving around, trying to get a flow of full days of my makeshift spring training I guess," Stanton said.
"I don't usually hit on the field all the time, so I've been hitting inside," Stanton said.
"Keep a long schedule, keep in the meetings."
