Projected lineup: Rangers should lean on surging youth over slumping veterans
Briefly

The way we were playing to start the season kind of got derailed by a game or two, and so we made a change.
The combinations Laviolette rolled out Wednesday closely resembled how the Rangers looked while beginning the season 5-0-1.
The issues that led to the Rangers going 4-4 in their last eight won't all be solved by shuffling chess pieces around, but evidence suggests they're better off this way.
Prior to making the changes... the Blueshirts were tied for fourth in the NHL with an average of 3.9 goals per game while allowing a league-best 2.2.
