Kirk S. Thomas Olsen, a 61-year-old backpacker, was found deceased on Saturday after being reported missing for two weeks in Yosemite National Park.
Park rangers stated that no additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding Olsen's disappearance and death is available at this time.
Prior to his disappearance, Olsen had scheduled a backcountry trip that was supposed to take place from August 23 to August 27.
Olsen was last known to be in the area near Ostrander Lake, where his overdue status was posted on social media just days before his body was discovered.
