At the number of followers I had (11,000 before I left), my replies had become a bit of a cesspool. There were few hockey comments, and the $8 paid checkmark brigade was less than tolerable in my replies.
Neither of these were issues before Elon Musk bought Twitter. The changed algorithm muted a lot of my content and that of the writers.
I will no longer be posting on Twitter, ever. I'm done there.
For those wondering why, it was a pretty easy decision for me. I have also completely scrubbed my Twitter account and made it private.
