Kolek is still a rookie. That means he will go through plenty of growing pains and take some time to adjust and a team looking to contend, coached by none other than Tom Thibodeau, likely won't rely on a rookie to be the full-time backup point guard unless they need to.
The feel is that Kolek won't be the de facto backup point guard. That doesn't mean that he won't play at all. But I'd be surprised if he got more than 10-ish minutes per game.
Skapintsev showed some really nice things over the course of the five game exhibition. In just 17.4MPG, he averaged 13PPG, 7RPG, 1.4APG, 1SPG, and 1BPG while shooting 69.7% from the field.
