"Hearing that Kathy Hochul had a meltdown at her presser when asked about her endorsement of Communist Mamdani and tried to pivot by desperately hugging Joe Biden's 2020 election,"
"I will continue to be dismissive of outrageous claims like those. I will always support the outcomes of elections. That's what our country has been founded on over the last 250 years,"
"I don't really care what she says,"
An internal GrayHouse poll shows Rep. Elise Stefanik trailing Gov. Kathy Hochul by five points in a hypothetical statewide matchup. Stefanik accused Hochul of having a meltdown over the poll and tied Hochul to her endorsement of Zohran Mamdani, calling him "Communist" and saying Hochul tried to pivot by invoking Joe Biden's 2020 election. Hochul dismissed claims tying her to Mamdani, affirmed support for election outcomes, and said she did not support efforts to overturn elections like those surrounding Jan. 6, 2021. Hochul waved off Stefanik's comments and her campaign referred inquiries to prior statements. Public Siena polling shows varied results for the potential matchup.
