Alexander Kasumyan, the starting point guard for Verdugo Hills, founded NAYI (Network of Young Innovators) to empower Armenian youth in business and entrepreneurship. Established in 2025, NAYI has organized job fairs and created chapters at Glendale College and in Yerevan, Armenia. Kasumyan facilitates networking events and speaker panels to provide internship opportunities. Despite being under 18, he actively manages the organization with the help of his older brother. His leadership experience from basketball has influenced his commitment to guiding youth in their professional aspirations.
