Anthony Duclair, a 28-year-old left wing, signed a four-year contract with the New York Islanders for $3.5 million AAV. Duclair has had success with 20-goal seasons, including a career-high 31 goals in 2021-22 with the Florida Panthers.
Defenseman Mike Reilly, who played 59 games with the Islanders last season, was retained to provide essential puck movement and mobility. Reilly was claimed off waivers from the Florida Panthers.
Duclair has prior one-year stints in Columbus, Ottawa, and Florida, where his performance earned him a three-year extension. With a history under Islanders coach Patrick Roy, he aims to improve the team's left side.
