The New York Giants have agreed to terms with versatile linebacker Isaiah Simmons. It's a one-year deal for Simmons to return to the Giants, a source told ESPN.
Simmons has started 41 games without a fixed position, moving between safety, linebacker, and other roles. He was acquired in a trade last year from the Arizona Cardinals.
Giants see Simmons as a valuable piece in the defense under new coordinator Shane Bowen, despite uncertainties about his future with the team without previous coordinator Wink Martindale.
Isaiah Simmons, originally drafted in the first round in 2020 for his size, speed, and play-making ability, has faced challenges in finding a permanent position in the NFL.
