Felicia Hudson, a devoted employee of Santa Monica College for nearly 30 years, tragically lost her life due to a workplace shooting by her co-worker.
On Wednesday, the college expressed deep sorrow over Hudson’s death, emphasizing her dedication and the pride she took in serving as a colleague and a leader.
The suspected shooter, Davon Durell Dean, had a violent history including past arrests for attempted murder and assaults, but had no convictions for serious felonies.
Following the incident, police confirmed there were no additional suspects and the college reopened for its 30,000 students after a brief closure.
