On November 11, last year, a shootout occurred between two groups near Queen Street W. and Sudbury Street, where undercover officers were caught in the crossfire. Following this incident, the police announced that eight individuals faced over 30 firearms-related charges. Reports revealed that three individuals from a stolen car fired upon a gathering outside a recording studio, leading to return fire. Although no injuries occurred, bullets hit a police cruiser. Subsequently, five of the initial charges were dropped after further investigation indicated these individuals weren't directly linked to the shooting.
