Frederick Green, 20, was charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons possession in the Nov. 16 shooting of New York Jets back Kris Boyd outside Midtown restaurant Sei Less. Green was identified through social media posts and a Crime Stoppers tip and was arrested by U.S. marshals in Amherst, N.Y., after hiding in his girlfriend's upstate apartment. Boyd was shot in the abdomen; the bullet lodged near his right lung and the pulmonary artery. Boyd was hospitalized in critical condition, briefly improved and later readmitted for complications, and has since made appearances at team facilities. The confrontation began after a group mocked the players' clothing, leading to a brawl during which one man allegedly fired two rounds, striking Boyd.
