A dispute over a blocked driveway in the Bronx escalated into a fatal shooting incident, leading to the arrest of 46-year-old Lavar Davis, who faces second-degree murder charges. The incident occurred early on Saturday morning when Trevor Hughes confronted two men blocking his driveway. The situation turned violent, resulting in Davis allegedly shooting Hughes in the stomach. Despite emergency medical assistance, Hughes was pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital. Authorities confirmed that no further suspects are being sought in connection with the case.
The incident unfolded at around 2 a.m. Saturday outside of 1735 Fowler Avenue, where an argument about a blocked driveway escalated into a deadly shooting.
