Speeding driver found guilty over death of woman
Briefly

Vanessa Sagnay de la Bastida died in a tragic accident when hit by a speeding car, causing outrage as Octavian Cadar tried to shift blame to her partner.
Despite claiming Mr. Williams caused the crash, Cadar later admitted his fault and accepted he had been speeding, reaching 48mph in a 20mph zone.
The couple had checked the road and were halfway across when they heard a car accelerating, prompting them to panic and try to escape in different directions.
Forensic evidence showed Cadar's car had been driving at 55mph on average from a drive-through to the road, well over the speed limit before the fatal impact.
