Richard Satchwell, charged with murdering his wife Tina, will face trial in April 2025, with the defence planning to present evidence from interviews and media communications.
The case, expected to last six weeks, centers on the discovery of Tina Satchwell's remains six years after her disappearance under the stairwell of their Cork home.
Gardaà followed 400 lines of inquiry, conducted extensive searches, reviewed CCTV footage, and took statements from 170 witnesses prior to finding Tina Satchwell's remains.
Trial date set for April 28, 2025, at the Central Criminal Court in Cork, after Richard Satchwell was sent forward for trial following the discovery of evidence.
