Jannath Nishath, a 19-year-old woman, was fatally struck by a Royal Waste Services garbage truck in Woodside, Queens. The incident occurred around 11:55 p.m. on Sunday as she was crossing 62nd St. The driver, a 38-year-old man, remained at the scene and has not been charged while the police investigate the crash. Nishath died at the scene, approximately half a mile from her home. Royal Waste Services has not provided any immediate comment regarding the incident.
