Outbursts of gun violence within two hours in Brooklyn, Manhattan leave two injured
"A woman was shot in Manhattan and a teenaged boy was blasted in Brooklyn in unrelated attacks within two hours of each other Sunday afternoon, police said. The 48-year-old woman was shot in the thigh while standing outside on 112th St. near Fifth Ave. in Harlem around 2 p.m., cops said. She was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition. Police are looking for two suspects who fled on a scooter, authorities said."
"Shortly after 4 p.m., cops responding to a 911 call about an assault outside Avenue J and E. 16th St. in Midwood found a 16-year-old boy bleeding from a gunshot wound to his back, authorities said. EMS rushed the boy in stable condition to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was expected to recover. Police could not immediately say if there were any suspects, and there were no initial arrests in either case as investigations continued Sunday night."

Shortly after 4 p.m., officers found a 16-year-old boy outside Avenue J and East 16th Street in Midwood with a gunshot wound to his back; EMS transported him in stable condition to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was expected to recover. No arrests were immediately made and investigations continued Sunday night.
