NYC will be hit with heavy rain, coast could get 50 mph winds
Briefly

New York is set to experience heavy rain and winds of up to 50 miles per hour on Sunday afternoon, according to Fox Weather. Forecasts predict rainfall amounts could reach 2 inches, with gusts reaching 30 to 40 miles per hour in the city and potentially higher along the coast. The storm is expected to start in the late afternoon and could last until Monday morning, adding to the impact following deadly tornadoes across the South and Midwest that have resulted in 16 fatalities.
It's looking like an inch or two of rain, and it will be pretty gusty. We could see some periodic 30 to 40 mile per hour gusts throughout the city.
Closer to the coast, it could be upwards of 50 miles an hour. I wouldn't be surprised if we're put on a wind advisory for tomorrow.
