A security guard at a Burlington Coat Factory in Brooklyn shot at a 15-year-old armed would-be shoplifter who threatened to kidnap and shoot her.
The teenage shoplifters, initially turned away for wearing masks, later returned with one displaying a gun. The guard fired three rounds at the armed teen, who fled but was later apprehended by the police.
The 15-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of burglary and menacing, part of a rising trend in retail theft incidents as reported by the NYPD.
